«Wahrscheinlich ist die musikalische Weltlage heute ähnlich wie in den 70ern. Es gibt einfach zu viel schleimiges Zeug, das die Kanäle vestopft und die Hörgewohnheiten nachhaltig schädigt. Tatsächlich bräuchte es Verbraucherwarnungen auf Pop-Produkten. In diesem Kontext zu sagen "Komm mit auf diesen Trip oder dreh doch deinen Fernseher lauter" ist wichtig. Egal in welchem Genre, auf welchem Floor oder iPod.»

«Was die Musik anbelangt, so hab ich mich eigentlich nie für den klassischen 77er Punk interessiert. Ich fand die Auswüchse davon immer spannender. Die Anfänge vom Industrial, New Wave oder natürlich auch Hardcore-Punk… da fühlte und fühle ich mich am meisten zuhause. Ich finde es spannend, wenn verschiedene Elemente zusammengefügt werden. Sei es auf rein musikalischer Ebene oder auch wenn es um eine Medium-übergreifende Ästhetik geht. Es gab wohl schon immer einen Graben zwischen der Working Class und den Art Students. Das wurde dann auch ideologisch so aufgebauscht, nun wie dem auch sei, ich war halt nie Working Class. Und ich finde den Anspruch, dass Punk auch klug sein darf gar nicht mal so doof.»

«Die Intensität und der Humor,  wie auch das Tempo, der DIY-Charakter und die Punk-Musik an sich fand ich immer sehr spannend und sobald etwas diese Komponenten enthaltet, finde ich es meistens irgendwie spannend, so lange es nicht nostalgisch oder konservativ wirkt. Punk hat sicherlich die Mode und die Musikwelt sehr stark geprägt. Meistens gefällt mir auch, was unter dem Punkeinfluss steht, doch was ich oft nicht haben kann sind Sachen, die wie einer alten Zeit nachhängen oder sich repetieren. Das wird oft als Punk interpretiert, für mich ist es aber schon fast das Gegenteil.»

«Punk ist für mich am interessantesten in Bereichen, welche offiziell gar nicht als Punk deklariert sind. Irgendwelche schrägen Bands, Performances oder Anlässe, die sich keinen Deut um Konventionen kümmern. Mich faszinieren immer noch Menschen, welche ausprobieren, auf die Schnauze fliegen und weiter machen. Frei nach dem Motto Stay Punk!»
