«Das erste Mal haben wir Grime 2003 wahrgenommen, mit   Boy in da Corner  von Dizzee Rascal. Danach entdecken wir 2005 per Zufall ein Grime Mixtape von DJ Detect. Dann aber wurden wir mit Vorläufersound des Grime konfrontiert, wie Ruff Sqwad, Kamikaze, Kano etc.»

BOLD: Der englische Produzent Paul Woolford hat als Special Request eine LP auf Houndstooth veröffentlicht. Der Sound darauf klingt wie die Schnittmenge von Martyn und Kowton. Stimmst ihr dem zu? 

«Tatsächlich gleicht der Sound von Special Requests vom Ton und Aufbau her stark dem, was Kowton momentan macht. Im Gegenzug sehen wir weniger Gemeinsamkeit mit Martyn, den man von einer etwas saubereren Seite kennt.»
